What is true innovation and how does it differ from incremental change, or modification?
It seems that it would be difficult to think of any innovation that can't be traced to a series of modifications.
If innovation is simply a matter modifications, then just as there are different levels of modification there must be differnt levels of innovation. Depending the impact of the modification we can say gauge the degree to which the innovation will impact us.
We can make a scale for this - which major innovations ( e.g., television, microchip, vaccines) rating higher than something like color television.
Which gets me to think - has anyone under the age of 30 experienced any significant modification?
