What

What is innovation? It is our instinct towards survival and away from emptiness.

We invent to survive. Our mortality rate is proof our inventiness. We overcome through observation, discovery and remedy.

But how does this explain Mickey Mouse? The seemingly trivial that adorns so much of our mental space had to come from somewhere other than the survival instinct.

From some readings and such I have come to the conclusion that our minds at rest will not rest. Instead, at rest, the mind manufactures ideas. Some of these ideas are the roots of technology, some are the roots of fancy.

Some evolutionists say our minds overdeveloped. Once our species began to innovate the brain became more powerful than needed for the given tasks. So it innovated some more, then grew some more, and so it went.
