Just an idea to counteract some of the current myopic media analysis where only the immediate impact matters; without any sense of history or long term consequences.
The idea is to take the weekly big story and to do an analysis that looks back 80 years and looks forward 20 years. This would serve to give a greater context on the story.
This would be one way to balance out our current media that is so focused on the immediate impact. Such immediacy make sit difficult to get a proper sense of weight to a story.
